Presentation: Tweet"How Would You Say That? Conversations for Double Loop Learning with Kanban"
Critical to the success of teams using Kanban is how to actually hold effective conversations about what Kanban is visualising. Many teams and organisations can find it difficult to discuss this information, especially if it goes against their core beliefs or leads them to feel embarrassed or threatened.
This talk will illustrate situations faced when helping teams adopt Kanban and give examples of how to handle these conversations productively; dealing with bottlenecks that are visualised between different functions, what to do when work in progress (WIP) limits are hit, how handle situations where explicit policies (such as code review) aren't followed.
The talk will illustrate practical guidance on how to have conversations in a way that allows all participants an opportunity to change both the way they think and act (double loop learning) in order to achieve evolutionary change.
